The first artists of the 20+ to perform include Michael Stipe, Jesse Malin, Matt Berninger (The National), Courtney Barnett, Sharon Van Etten, Alison Mosshart (The Kills), Kronos Quartet, Ben Harper, Karen O, Kim Gordon & Bill Nace, and Angel Olsen. The evening will also feature a powerhouse house band led by Tony Shanahan (a longtime member of Patti Smith’s band), joined by Flea, Steve Jordan, and more surprise guests.
